The Celanese Corporation company Mircomax Electronic Inks and Pasted announced an extended strategic partnership with Taiwan’s Industrial Technological Research Institute (ITRI).
Using the Celanese GreenTape 9KC system, ITRI will develop more AiP modules to demonstrate the feasibility and reliability of LTCC technology for 5mmWave applications. This will give more practical reference designs that are in line with volume production cost structure.
The Celanese GreenTape 9KC LTCC system enables economic mass production of high-reliability modules through an ultra-low dissipation factor (Df 0.0009) over a wide frequency range with heterogeneous IC packaging, antennae, and signal routing.
In collaboration with ITRI, Micromax Electronic Inks and Pastes won the 2022 R&D 100 award for developing mmWave 5G wireless devices by using Ag metallization and GreenTape 9KC LTCC.
For more than 60 years, Micromax Electronic Inks and Paste have been collaborating and developing electronic inks for the printed electronics industry. They are a leading brand of printable, moldable, and stretchable functional thick film pastes, inks, and ceramic tapes. With enhanced circuit density, improved thermal management, higher reliability, Mircomax Electronic Inks and Paste are used for circuitry, interconnection, and packaging of electronic devices in telecom, automotive, passive components, consumer electronics, healthcare, and military applications.
Since 1973, ITRI is a leading R&D institution that has been transforming Taiwan’s labor-intensive sectors into innovation-driven.
