With effect from Nov. 1, 2018, Guido van Tartwijk has become the new CEO of Heliatek GmbH, a leading organic photovoltaic (OPV) innovator. He succeeds Thibaud Le Séguillon, who left Heliatek in July 2018. Together with CFO Jan Kiel, who has been with Heliatek since July, he forms the new dual management team of the Dresden-based company.

Guido van Tartwijk holds PhD and MSc degrees in theoretical physics and has amassed experience in bringing disruptive innovations rapidly to mass markets in the lighting and semiconductors industries. Most recently he was CEO of Austria’s Tridonic GmbH, a globally leading LED Controls company.

Heliatek GmbH is currently in the process of setting up series production. Together with Kiel, van Tartwijk will be responsible for the associated structural change and strategic orientation. Heliatek’s goal is to become a global leader in the implementation of CO2-free and sustainable energy generation.
