Tetrafluoroethylene (TFE)


Tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) is a chemical compound with the formula C2F4. It is the simplest unsaturated perfluorocarbon. This gaseous species is used primarily in the industrial preparation of polymers. In organic chemistry, tetrafluoroethylene is a potent dienophile.
